Allison is the founder of smith & beta. She's a spirited entrepreneur who is resistant to status quo, promotes action over chit chat, and is over-the-top passionate about redefining workplace learning and all things org change. She's held a few fancy positions in advertising and marketing prior to launching smith & beta in 2013. If she's not writing, speaking, or digging into a client's business needs, you can find her hiking up one of the many beautiful trails in Boulder, CO.
In his role as CFO, Jason's mandate is threefold: clarify our financial picture, streamline our accounting processes, and make accounting slightly less boring for the rest of us. He holds a BS in Accounting, is an active CPA in the State of Colorado, and has a decade of experience helping businesses improve their bottom line. He spends his free time wondering when his job will become fully automated, and dreams of writing the software that will ultimately replace him.
With extensive experience in digital strategy and insights, Julie conquered digital during the pioneer years. She currently leads qualitative research for smith & beta and shares industry expertise by collaborating on curriculum design. Behind the scenes Julie is a creative strategic thinker, looking to answer complex questions about customer needs and behaviors in order to develop compelling marketing programs, products and services for many of the world’s top brands.
Lori is the unapologetic education and creativity theorist on the team. Her participation ensures that programming meets the developmental and psychological needs of diverse learners. She focuses on evolution in the workplace toward more positive, future-focused work and designs for engaging experiences that make programming memorable and applicable. She works as a writer, visual artist, and college professor in NYC.
As a freelance facilitator, Rebecca oversees the in-person classroom experience for select client programs. An enthusiastic advocate for life-long learning, she enjoys helping people and organizations grow and adapt along with their changing needs. Rebecca has over a decade of experience in various facets of the advertising industry, and is currently co-directing/producing an independent documentary feature about participatory city-planning in the Bay Area.
As Program Manager & Design Lead, Kristin leverages her background as a business-minded designer to ensure the best possible user experience for smith & beta's clients and instructors. She is an alumni of the Art Institute of Colorado, where she studied Design Management, Interior Design, and Graphic Design. Kristin spends her free time geeking out over classic Mid Century interior design, exploring Colorado, and refining her crafting skills.
Our teacher network is a team of practitioners from startups, agencies, and large, esteemed institutions. We have an established group of experts that we collaborate with on learning experiences.
